After fifteen years, the indoor playground at Kortrijk Worldkarts was ready for a thorough refresh. The existing indoor play structure, supplied by another manufacturer, was dirty, worn, and no longer met today’s safety standards. Many people still believe that only the original manufacturer can modify or renew such a playground — but that’s not true. LEICON proves it can be done, and most importantly: in a cost-efficient way.
Thinking along with the customer = the best solution
Instead of replacing everything right away, we worked with the customer to assess: what can be kept, what needs improvement, and how do we achieve the best possible result within the available budget? This approach delivers not only a better solution, but also a smart investment.

From strip-out to upgrade: a complete softplay refurb
We started by fully stripping the existing structure. Old nets and foam were removed, and all reusable parts were thoroughly cleaned. Next, the steel structure received a technical upgrade so it once again complies with the applicable safety requirements. At the same time, we expanded the structure to increase play value. With new nets and tuff pads, the playground also gained a fresh, contemporary look — appealing to children and reassuring for operators and parents alike.
A project like this takes experience, precision, and perseverance. But the results speak for themselves: a renewed playground that is safe again, durable, and fully ready for intensive use. After completion, the installation was inspected by a certified body and issued an official safety certificate.
Children at Kortrijk Worldkarts can once again play carefree in a playground that meets every expectation — and the customer benefits from a solution that is technically sound and budget-friendly.
